About MMFEHA
Mission
To provide a forum for professional collaboration, education, and application of scientific
principles related to environmental health practices.
History
The Missouri Milk, Food, and Environmental Health Association (MMFEHA) is a unified professional
organization dedicated to encourage and promote cooperation, good fellowship, intellectual and
educational exchange; encourage the development of new technology; improve the sanitary quality
of milk, food, institutional and environmental conditions; promote the public recognition of
environmental professionals; and most importantly, to obtain the highest standard of health for
every resident in the State of Missouri.
MMFEHA was founded in 1932 and was then known as the Missouri Association of Milk and Food
Sanitarians. The name has changed several times, but the purpose of the association has not.
Significantly, MMFEHA is the state affiliate of both the National Environmental Health
Association (NEHA) and the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP).
